From - to: East Croydon Station to Petts Wood Station

Type: Paths through parks, quiet roads, some short sections on busier roads

Surface: Tarmac and good quality gravel paths 

Starting at East Croydon Station the route uses residential roads to connect with the Addiscombe Railway Park, Croydon Council's newest park following the line of an old railway and offering a wide traffic free route, perfect for novice cyclists. Continue through Ashburton Playing Fields and link into National Cycle Network Route 21 before joining Wickham Road, take care as this is one of the busier roads along the route.

The route then takes you to West Wickham Station and beyond to Pickhurst Green. Residential roads are then followed to Norman Park, a large open park used for a variety of sports and events, this park includes an athletics track, children's play area and football pitches.

Further east, you'll pass through Jubilee Park, a local nature reserve containing ancient woodland and wildflower meadows with plenty of places to stop for a picnic or well deserved rest. Petts Wood station is a few hundred meters outside the park to the south.
