The Cheddar Adventure, Bristol
On Saturday 11 September, Sustrans will be celebrating fifteen years of the National Cycle Network and would love for you to join us on this exciting, challenging adventure ride that will take you on some of the best cycle routes in the South West.
Starting from the CREATE centre in Bristol city centre, choose from two different routes heading into North Somerset.
An epic 56 mile mountain bike challenge from Bristol to Cheddar and back. Take in the Ashton to Pill path and the Strawberry Line, climb the stunning Cheddar Gorge, cross the Mendips then return through Ashton Court.
For those wanting a slightly shorter route, the Nailsea loop is a challenging 29 miles.
Both routes takes in a combination of traffic-free paths, quiet roads and off-road sections. You will ideally need a mountain bike as some sections won't be suitable for road bikes.
Take part individually or get a groups of friends together and ride as a team. It's not a race, but a test of your cycling ability and map reading skills!
Collect your stamping card on the day and be sure to get it stamped at the checkpoints along the way to qualify for entry into the prize draw. Registration takes place from 9-11am.
Then join us at the after party at the Tobacco Factory from 5pm - 7pm to find out if you are a lucky winner.
It's just £20 to register, so book your place online now All proceeds go to Sustrans.
The Cheddar Adventure is part of a series of Fresh Air Miles rides Supported by Globes bikes that are being run throughout the year across the UK. It also marks the beginning of the Bristol Cycle Festival.
