Sea to Sea fundraising challenge ride
Come and join 30 cyclists on a fantastic challenge ride on the UK’s favourite long distance cycle route - The Sea to Sea and raise money for Sustrans at the same time.
Organised by Saddle Skedaddle, well known for their fantastic cycling holidays and winners of three awards at the Guardian/Observer Travel awards 2011, this exciting three day adventure is a trip not to miss.
Taking place over the weekend of 21 – 23 September this ride will start at Whitehaven, before heading eastwards into the wide open spaces and dramatic scenery of the Lake District, Cumbria and the North Pennines. This well paced cycling challenge ends 3 days and 140 miles later, on the North Sea coast at Tynemouth.
This ride is suited to those who cycle regularly or those that put in the training to be able to cycle at least 40 miles comfortably in a day. There are some steep climbs, eased by long descents, sections of easy flowing cycleway and quiet traffic free tracks.
On this fully supported event, your accommodation will be in local B&Bs, with refreshment stops and lunches provided each day in the unique Skedaddle style - no one will go hungry! The evenings are a chance to socialise with your fellow riders, and enjoy the local food and drink.
