Thinking of embarking on a long-distance cycle ride, running a marathon or undertaking any other challenge event? Want to raise vital funds for Sustrans whilst you're about it? Look no further. Grab your fundraising pack (pdf) and sponsorship forms (doc) and email us at supporters@sustrans.org.uk to tell us all about your event. We'll send you a T-shirt or running vest so that you look the part and any other fundraising resources you think you can use.
You know that any money you raise will help more people to walk and cycle their everyday journeys, enjoy better health and a cleaner environment. So why not go further and organise a sponsored event yourself? With a little enthusiasm, planning and our sponsored events guide (pdf) you'll be on your way.
From time to time we organise fundraising cycle rides in-house here at Sustrans. Supporters enjoyed our Devon Coast to Coast ride in May and their fundraising efforts were a triumph, raising thousands of pounds towards our work. Do get in touch with your suggestions for future rides - we'd love to hear from you.

The Bluespot Team set themselves an awesome challenge in August by entering a human powered relay race from London to Paris to raise funds for Sustrans. Amy Harmsworth, Craig Bond, James Taylor, Jo Higgins, Matt Fowles and Steven Pidgeon ran from London to Dover (24 km each), swam the Channel (7 km each) and cycled from Calais to Paris (50 km each) as part of the Enduro Challenge. Crucial support was provided by Louise Norton-Smith and a minibus. They have been inspired by Sustrans' work to tackle the massive transport problems faced in the UK and to protect the environment. You can still sponsor them now!
Earlier in the year our intrepid adventurer, Iain Nussey, cycled from John O' Groats to Land's End via Mull. He did not make life easy for himself as he cycled in the face of the prevailing wind and unsupported. He carried all his gear, including a tent, on his trusty Dawes tourer and only resorted to a cosy B&B if the weather was very inclement! He has raised an astounding £1078 for us which has included match funding from his employer, Royal Mail. Do please show your appreciation for his mighty efforts by making a donation today.
