Sustrans employs fundraisers to work on the National Cycle Network, the street and the telephone. Sustrans volunteers also hold fundraising events on the Network. Our fundraisers and volunteers are all extremely passionate and knowledgeable about the work we do, and we couldn't do it without them!
As well as telling people about what Sustrans is doing locally, we sign up supporters using Sustrans Direct Debit forms, hand held electronic devices or on the telephone. Volunteers may also collect cash at fundraising events.
Recognising Sustrans fundraisers
Legitimate Sustrans fundraisers wear red tops with the Sustrans logo and Sustrans photo ID. They are trained to adhere to the codes of best practice set out by the Fundraising Standards Board (FRSB), Institute of Fundraising and the Public Fundraising Regulatory Association (PFRA).
Sustrans volunteers are UK-wide and wear Sustrans t-shirts and/or tabards with an ID badge. They only collect using Sustrans collection boxes or buckets.
