The discount – how does it work?
Once you've signed up, we’ll provide you with a supporter ID (your supporter number preceded by an S) to enter when you register as a customer in the Sustrans shop. If you have already registered on the shop you can add your ID when you log in under the ‘my account’ section. Don't know your supporter ID? Just give us a ring on 0845 838 0651 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll fill you in.
Do I need to keep track of my spending in the Sustrans shop so that I can claim my full entitlement over any number of visits to the checkout?
No, the shop database will keep track of your spending and apply the discount until you have reached a total order value of £60 per year.
I’m a volunteer – does this affect me?
Volunteers continue to be eligible for unlimited 20% discount on shop purchases and this is unaffected by the supporter discount. Supporters who are also volunteers should continue to use their volunteer numbers to claim their discount to ensure their discount is not capped.
My discount is not being applied but I think it should be – what should I do?
The most likely reasons are that you have already received all the discount you are entitled to, your first payment has not yet been received or your Direct Debit, standing order or payroll giving has been cancelled. Please also note that discount will not be applied to donations, or to sale goods that are already discounted, and is not applicable to supporters living overseas . I don’t have access to the internet – can I still claim my discount?
Yes. Please place your order by mail or telephone as usual and quote your supporter discount code in order to claim your discount. This generates extra administration for us though so please order online if you possibly can.
How do I access the legal helpline?
Simply call 0117 904 7750 and quote your supporter number. Details of your query will be taken and either discussed with you immediately or Lyons Davidson will call you back at a convenient time for you.
