In Memory
Setting up a Sustrans memorial fund or collection in lieu of flowers is a lovely way to remember someone. You may choose Sustrans because your loved one supported us or because you know they would have shared our vision; whatever the reason it will help us to bring the benefits of our work to more communities, families and schools all over the country.
Roger Green was a passionate cyclist who raced to a professional level in his youth, entering the Tour of Britain. When Roger sadly died in February 2011, his son, Mike Green, kindly organised a collection in aid of Sustrans in his memory. Mike said, 'I know this money can be put to good use on projects that my dad would have approved of.'
We are enormously grateful to Mike for thinking of us at such a difficult time and the money collected has helped us to maintain the National Cycle Network for others to enjoy as much as Roger did.

Alternatively, a simple way to collect donations for a memorial fund is to create an In Memory page on JustGiving. Family and friends can promote their fundraising events and requests for donations in one place and together produce a powerful celebration of the life of the deceased in words, photos and videos.
