Whilst millions of journeys are made safely every day, over 160 cyclists and walkers are killed or seriously injured on UK roads every single week. It’s a horrendous situation, but what’s worse is that it’s easily preventable.
Two simple solutions
Reducing speed limits in built-up areas to 20mph and increasing the number of walking and cycling routes could significantly reduce casualties and enable people of all ages to reclaim the streets where they live.
