Support Sustrans with your birthday, anniversary or wedding celebration
If you're planning a celebration, why not spread the word about our work and raise funds by asking your guests to donate to Sustrans instead of bringing a gift. Whether you spend your weekends exploring the National Cycle Network, your family has benefited from our work, or you simply agree that we all need to be making smarter travel choices, you will be making a big difference for Sustrans.
How to get started:
- Visit Justgiving and follow the instructions to make your page
- Complete the personal message so guests can see why you chose Sustrans
- Include the URL for your page in your invites
We can provide small booklets for you to enclose so your guests can read more about what we do and donate offline if they prefer, and if appropriate we can also provide a collection box, t-shirt, posters and other materials.
You could also think about fun ways to incorporate sustainable transport into your party such as challenging your friends to get there as sustainably as possible or having a cycling themed quiz.
Ellen and Andrew Pringle set up a Justgiving page to take donations instead of gifts for their wedding and raised £1,000 plus Gift Aid! This is fantastic for Sustrans and Andrew and Ellen chose to set up the page because they enjoy cycling on the National Cycle Network.
Ellen says: "We came up with the idea of supporting Sustrans and the National Cycle Network as it represents a passion and interest. It also seemed like a good way to introduce more people into the wonderful world of cycling."
