Showcasing some of the best the east and south of England has to offer, this long distance route takes you through the historic town of Norwich and ends up in the pretty seaside town of Harwich on the Essex coast. The route is one of the flattest National Cycle Network routes and is the ideal way to experience the tranquil beauty of the East Anglian countryside.

There are two options for this route, the first is via Colchester and is 163 miles long.  The shorter alternative at 114 miles takes you via Felixstowe, but uses 3 ferry crossings.

Beginning in the town of Fakenham which sits on the River Wensum, the route takes you on road to Reepham.  Here you join the main traffic free section of the route, known locally as the Marriotts Way, which takes you all the way into Norwich. Travelling through Whitlingham Country Park and skirting Mid Yar National Nature Reserve, the route takes you to Halesworth, Framlingham and Woodbridge before arriving in one of England's oldest towns - Ispwich.  The route then heads to the historic town of Colchester and onto Harwich.
