Want to get on your bike but it’s been a while? Are you interested in free cycle training to improve your skills and confidence?
Register for a free session of cycle training and a bike check in your area. The training offered is for all ages to undertake cycle skills in a fun environment which will improve your ability to travel by bike.
Our bike mechanics will do a basic bike check, repairing minor problems so you can get back on two wheels.
Sustrans has been funded by the Public Health Agency to deliver sessions to communities in Comber, and across Belfast. Areas have been selected as they that are accessible to communities and close to traffic-free routes popular with cyclists. The cycle training will help prepare participants for the Piccolo Fondo led rides taking place on Saturday 3 June.
Please note for cycle training sessions children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult and be able to cycle unaided. The sessions will take place at, Comber Leisure Centre in Comber; CS Lewis Square in Holywood Arches and The Macrory Centre in North Belfast.

Once your bike is road-worthy and with your newly acquired cycle skills, why not sign up for the Piccolo Fondo on Saturday 3 June? These are four led bike rides along greenways and quiet roads to the the Gran Fondo is taking place that weekend.
Why not pull out your pink shirts from last year and get on your bike for this family-friendly event. The Gran Fondo is a legacy event of the Giro d’Italia.
Sustrans will lead and marshall the four rides which will begin at Comber, Cutter’s Wharf, Orangefield Park and Victoria Park. There will also be pick-up points along the way.
