Group co-ordinator - North East Fife

(ref SGR071)

Become a group co-ordinator and help to co-ordinate your local Sustrans volunteer group.

You will be involved with our volunteer rangers, staff and partners to help maintain and promote the National Cycle Network (in North East Fife) and put it at the heart of the local community.  You will also help our volunteers and staff to promote Sustrans’ other projects which encourage and support people to travel in ways which benefit their health and the environment.

Communication is a big part of this role, as well as making volunteering fun for all locally.  You’ll need to ensure that the group meet regularly, and be willing to help your group use their skills and interests so they can really get involved.

The local group needs some direction to help it become more active and the role would suit someone who enjoys the challenge of engaging with people to identify and build on their strengths whilst also identifying other areas of activity for the group to explore.

The group is also part of the Forth and Tay Volunteer Forum, which exists to foster relationships between neighbouring groups in the area.

For more information contact your Sustrans’ Volunteer Outreach Officer, Derek Mullins on 0131 346 9789, or email volunteers-scotland@sustrans.org.uk

To apply please complete and return the volunteer application form.
