Group co-ordinator - Dumfries
(ref SGR073)
Become a group co-ordinator and help to co-ordinate your local Sustrans volunteer group.
You will be involved with our volunteer rangers, staff and partners to help maintain and promote the National Cycle Network in Dumfries and put it at the heart of the local community. You will also help our volunteers and staff to promote Sustrans' other projects which encourage and support people to travel in ways which benefit their health and the environment.
Communication is a big part of this role, as well as making volunteering fun for all locally. You'll need to help your group use their skills and interests so they can really get involved.
The local group needs some direction, and this opportunity would suit someone with the time and enthusiasm to organise a modest programme of activities. Typically this would include 2 indoor meetings per year and outdoor events as required.
The group also has a Connect2 project in the area.
For more information contact your local Volunteer Coordinator, Derek Mullins on 0131 346 9789 or email volunteers-scotland@sustrans.org.uk
