Volunteer rangers - East Hertfordshire

Become a volunteer ranger and help to look after a section of the National Cycle Network near your home, and so encourage more people to cycle and walk.

You will become the eyes and ears for Sustrans and our many partners.  We'll rely on you to deal with minor problems yourself and report major problems so they get dealt with rapidly.

Our east Hertfordshire group help look after and promote local sections of National Routes 6 and 12 between Letchworth Garden City and Potters Bar, via Stevenage, Knebworth, Welwyn, and Hatfield, as well as east towards Hertford and Ware. The group cover a large area and they need more rangers to join them in looking after the local routes.

They are an active group and have regular monthly rides together to monitor each section of route. If you are looking for a social group to volunteer with whilst cycling on the National Cycle Network and you live in or near any of the locations mentioned above, then this could be the opportunity for you.
