Group co-ordinator – Basildon

(Ref  SGR015)

Become a group co-ordinator and help to coordinate your local Sustrans volunteer group.

You will be involved with our volunteer rangers, staff and partners to help maintain and promote the National Cycle Network and other local cycling routes. You will also help our volunteers and staff to promote Sustrans' other projects which encourage and support people to travel in ways which benefit their health and the environment.

Communication is a big part of this role, as well as making volunteering fun for all locally.  You'll need to help your group use their skills and interests so they can really get involved.

We are looking for a new coordinator for our group in Basildon to help bring the local volunteers together more often for activities such as rides, events and workdays.

Sustrans has a partnership with Essex County Council (ECC) so the group also help look after some of the local cycling routes in and around Basildon. Your role will also be to help promote cycling more widely in this area with the help of your group of volunteers and with the support of Sustrans and ECC.

For more information contact your local Volunteer Co-ordinator, on volunteers-uk@sustrans.org.uk or 0117 915 0110.

To apply please complete and return the volunteer application form.
